Current #1 ranked Fresno City College and returning State Champions, Mt. San Antonio College, provided a preview of state championship level wrestling at the Modesto Invitational. The Rams bested the Mounties in the team race 151.5 to 134.5. Host Modesto Junior College finished 3rd with 105.5 team points.
Three outstanding wrestlers were named: Lower Weight #1 Wayne Joint, West Hills College; Middle Weight, #1 Jackson Morgan, Fresno City; Upper Weight #4 Kevin Fernandez, Modesto Junior College.
Next week all teams will be in action at their respective regional duals. Sierra College will host the North Duals, while the South Duals take place at Cerritos College. 10 a.m. first whistle.
